Day 1: Beaune

September 7, Monday

Bienvenue à Beaune! Welcome to the beating heart of Burgundy’s wine country, a charming town celebrated for its centuries-old cellars, colorful tiled rooftops, and rich cultural heritage. Once a key hub of the medieval wine trade, Beaune has long been the capital of Burgundy’s viticultural world, blending history, tradition, and warm hospitality.

On your first day in this picturesque town, we’ll check into our hotel and settle into our home for the week. Then, on a guided walking tour through its winding cobblestone streets, you’ll see Beaune’s architectural treasures - from the Gothic splendor of the Hospices de Beaune to its ancient ramparts - and learn about the town’s role in shaping Burgundy’s winemaking legacy. Afterward, we’ll return to the hotel to unwind with a glass of local Pinot Noir or Chardonnay before gathering for a special welcome dinner.
